is my benchmark for 9800 normal?

system:

intel pentium 3.0 HT 3000 mhz, 800fsb, 512kb
p4c800 - deluxe
1024 (xms corsair memory) 2x512
and a ---ATI RADEON 9800 PRO 128---

i ran 3dMARK01

and my score was ----17680----

is that normal or not?

because im kinda a benchmark noob

plz give me feed back telling me if its normal or not for my computer?

well first off for benchmarking don't use a 3 yr old application, if fact I wouldn't even recommend their 2003 because of all the stuff with cheating drivers and all that. Grab a demo of UT2004, Farcry, Aquanox, or some other REAL game and go that route. Just look up a review of your card, see what they are running, and try those same ones out.

usually that is a good mark for 3D2K1....
you will find testing with 3D2K3 better, but a lwr score... you should range somewhere around 5,000 or above with 3D2k3


are you testings running the card stock and not doing any adjustments with programs running.? If so, that score is a good score.

2001 is still a good benchmark, maybe not for vid cards but it is a good bench for the whole system in general. It is heavily CPU dependent and likes Intel CPUs so that is a great score.
