I've had this problem with every ATI card ive owned (i havent yet owned an nvidia) rather then trading my card for an nvidia (which im trying to do in another thread lol) does anyone have a solution to this problem. and please, dont tell me anything about drivers or bios settings...... ive tried em all. anything you guys can even think of feel free to say it. i (and a lot of other people im sure) really need help on this issue. thanks,

well we might start with the secific problems you are having...i understand that it is with COD and you have tried newest ATI drivers and i guess mobo drivers....so just to cover a few other basics..........

Have you checked COD "official site"to see if this prob is common with other users? And if so have they addressed this issue(i.e. at least promised a patch to fix it).

If it is not common then have you asked thier tech people about it?

Have you concidered flashing the video card bios?(i know you tried bios but maybe not vid bios...just a thought)

are you absolutly sure there is no problem with the card?(i saw your other post and i saw you had problems with another card but i'm just fishing here)

if ATI claims the prob is with your mobo there may actually be a defect with it(not just a "bios" thing).(still fishing...but i....like others i'm sure...am having a really hard time beliveing that the developers did not test thier software out on ATI cards(since they have been the new"king of the hill"in video cards for quite a while now)

if other people can play with this mobo/vid card combo.....then there may be some setting that you don't even think could be related causeing the prob.(may even be a"non-stock"setting they change without even thinking about it)

.....trust me i feel your pain...i'm something of a gammer myself and i have had these things happen so many times and gotten frustrated and beat my head against the wall.....and some of the solutions really blew my mind....video cards that work just fine in a machine with the same damn parts but not in mine....a sneaky point on the back side of a mobo that was grounding out and only mattered when i hit a specific point in the game???to a game that was actually programed up to the next gen.of vid cards that had not even been released yet(still more than nine months out)

but anyway.....what is the specific problem you are having and what are the detailed specs of your rig?

when we know these things maybe someone will be able to be more specifc......................

good luck man....and keep us all updated as to what you have tried and the results...and if you get it fixed....share the solution with everyone....knolage is power........................later

well, i guess my sig doesnt work if you dont know my components. but let me tell you ive tried EVERYTHING. i had a soyo kt600 dragon plus and i replaced it with a epox now. its running on AMD AthlonXP 3000+ with 1 gig of pc3200 RAM. ive replaced the card (with another ATI of course) and ive also replaced the motherboard. i also reformatted the hard drive so theres no other drivers causing issues trust me.

I'd suggest taking a peak at Rage3D. If this is a wide-spread issue, they will most definitely have some discussion on it there.

I know you said don't bother with drivers, but have you tried Omega drivers?(I think that's what they are called)

Yeah

ATI chipsets sometimes have poor implementations...but it can be tricky to nail many of these down and solve them.

eg Powercolor have a budget 9200SE with a normal Analog connector with **** output. You have to buy a DVI-VGA converter to get a decent picture.

========

I dunno really...you just have to be willing to try stuff out and also try to stick to reputable brands of gear and take teh better models where possible.

Gigabyte and Sapphire and great card makers...Gigabyte, Asus and Epox tend to do ok in mobos...I dunno about Soyo, but have read decent reviews.

Bye

How about you look at the dates before you post......This one has been dead 2 months. Others have been dead for longer.
