Motherboard...??

How can i find out what type and what make is my motherboard. I have look at my receipts from purchase and at all of the computers information papers but i cant seem to find what type is my motherboard?

look at your mobo! if you cant find the manufacturer.... then look at the chipset and tell me if they are intel, sis, nvidia, or via chips. then maybe we can narrow it down from there. Also, more importantly, tell me when you bought it (doesnt have to be exact), what processor youre using (intel or amd), what kind of RAM your using, etc. and also what color is the board, RAM slots, and stuff like that. hope i can help!

There are quite a few programs you can use.

I use CPU-Z

There used to be a program called AIDA32, it's now called EVEREST and can be found here

Either one should give your mobo info you need. EVEREST will give you lots of info that you may not need as well.

ok im going to basically paste all the information on the invoice. My Computer is a Hp 7905 (Cuztumizable PC).

bought: 9/22/01
1.6 GhZ Pentium 4 Computer with Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition, 2 Ghz Intel Pentium 4 Procesor, 400 MHz System Bus; 56 kbpsflex data/fax V.90 Modem, 1.44 MB Floppy Disk Drive, Intel Pro 10/100 networking, and some of the software it brought.

Also it says my memory its 256 MB 133 Mhz SDRam but like 5 months ago i bought 2 more 128 MB so its 512 now.

Need anything else, oo and THANK YOU>

Run the applications I linked to, they'll tell you whatever you want to know.

HP's website doesn't offer much info on it.
