win 2k key

ok well trying to do a frsh install of win 2k after wiping the previous install have my key on a piece of paper cause i lost my cd case well i guess i only got 24 out of the 25 letter+numbers and well stuck with a broke install any help my thoght was run knoppix and get a retriver but i'am unsure

Sine this is a fresh install there is no need to try to look for the key on your computer as it will not be there. The key isn't logged in your computer until after you enter it and since you haven't entered one yet there won't be one there. you'll need to either find your old key or buy another one.

If you have a copy of your old installation, you can get it from there. Else, you are up the creek.
