Monitor wont come on!

hiya people, wondering if you can help me.

basically i just installed a new motherboard an abit VA-10 and a new athlon xp 2200 along with 256ddr. thing is my monitor wont come on, like it isnt gettin a signal. any ideas, im 99% certain i connected everything up ok.

i left my 64mb graphics card out at 1st and plugged my monitor straight into the mother board. still nothing.i really am at a loss.

please help.

usually, something like this is due to a video card outta socket. but since you tried onboard and it didnt work, I'de recommend takin the heatsink and processor out of the motherboard and putting it back it. Also, check to make sure the RAM is completly seated. One last thing, when you turn on the computer, does the computer give the normal "everything is good" beep?
