XP won't recognize new USB memory thingy

Don't know what everyone refers to these portable little memory sticks as?
However, I recently bought one at fry's made by PNY and it's name is Attache'.
Problem is my home pc [Dell 8200WinXP (pro) 2.5ghz, 512, etc....etc.....with the old version USB] Won't recognize this drive.
I've done reboot, looked in Device manager and can't seem to find any conflicts.........Called PNY and got a message to leave a message....(they never called me back!)
Grateful for any direction!

You mean the flash drives? What version of XP? Have you tried going into "My Computer" and seeing if you can locate it there.

I have a 5-7 year old HP, and I also use the PNY attache' 128 with XP Pro with no probs.
