Grrrrrrrr XP

I knew i should have stayed with 98

The problems i'm having is

1. for some reason i have messenger 4.2 & 6.2 and i can't find 4.2 to delete it, and it keeps saying i'm signed in when i'm not

2. for some reason my start menu a couple of items have disapeared:-



Any help appreciated

Sounds like your confusing MSN messenger with Windows messenger.
Although they look similar they are not.


Uninstall msn 6.2 then download this.

Windows messenger to update.

If you prefer to use msn and uninstall windows messenger this will do it for you.

Click start--- then run

type the folling commang in the box:

RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%\INF\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove

If you have SP1 installed on xp then you will get an error, click ok and it should be uninstalled.

(NOTE: Not recommended things like remote assistance will not be possiable)
