error 775 remote computer blocked the call

Hi,

I keep getting the following message when trying to connect to the internet.

error 775 remote computer blocked the call. I don't see how this can happen as it comes up before dialling.


I am on Windows XP and MY PC is only a couple of weeks old. I have tried running all virus scanners, deleting and reinstalling my connection and run all my ad aware scanners.

Any help would be appreciated.

After many frustrating weeks I found a solution. Quite simply I just installed an external modem. Have had no problems since.
