Geforce2 MX400.Memory Problems...please help

I bought a Ge Force2 Mx 400 card that has 64 mb memory.
I have a 400 Mhz P2 with 128 mb ram.everything was working well untill recently i got this card and every game that i ran had problems.
At first i ran GTA4 and it showed lack of memory and failed to start,so i uninstalled it and tried playing GTA3 and it showed an error saying that i require atleast 12mb of video memory to play the game.
So i ran dxdiag and it showed only 12mb in the video memory part


Tell me what shall i do.I tried the net meeting thingy but still no result.
Help me please.

Well, being that I play some online games and have vid card probs as well, I'll just tell ya somethings to maybe try out...one of the bigger guys can probably tell ya what's going on there.

First off, before you installed your new vid card, did you disable the old one? This is a process of disabliing, restarting, then shutting down, then installing the card, then restarting. And secondly, do you have the updated drivers for the card?

Those are the only two things that I know of that can cause some issues.

Also, I've heard of a few games that really don't like to play nice with the Geforce 2 card. That might be it as well.
