PIII or Celeron?

Hey I'm setting up a little computer for my Sister to just download music and chat/email etc. I was wondering which would be the better processor to pick from out of all my scraps... keep in mind I will be using it in conjunction with 128mb of PC100 SDRAM.

1) PIII 933 Mhz w/133mhz fsb

or...

2) Celeron 1.1 Ghz w/100mhz fsb

My idea was the Celeron because the PIII wouldn't be able to use its higher fsb to any advantage... does this have any bearing or is it even true? Cheers thanks for any advice!

If you have a 1.1A, then you have one w/ 256KB L2 cache just like the PIII. The Celeron would outperform in that case.

If you don't have a 1.1A, then the L2 cache is at 128KB. The PIII would outperform it, but probably not that you'd notice.

I'd just go w/ the Celeron. You can at least say she's running over a GHz.

Celerons, in my experience, tend to bog down while processing, so overall os slower then a P3 or P4.

I agree with Rick,

If the Celeron has the 256 L2 Cache, use that.

If it has the 128 L2 Cache, go with the P3
