cds aren't detected anymore

My cdrom used to work fine. But a day after getting some unwanted spywares, cds stopped getting detected (spyware may not be the cause as it happened before for no reason).

Windows detects the cdrom driver...but it obviously does not detect the cds into it.

BIOS also detects my cdrom driver, but cds are still not detected. I have tried to update my cdrom drivers, but it still didnt work.

Ive checked the connections inside the tower and everything ¨seems¨ fine.

Ive also tried to insert the boot disk to reinstall Windows, but even the bootdisk does not detect my cds.

Last time it happened, the cdrom started working again without any reasons, but this time the problem doesn't seem to get fixed by itself. What should I do?
