No monitor or video output, help please
I just bought a new case, motherboard, and Ati Radeon video card, and after I had all put together the monitor will come on but the image will be of a somewhat low quality. I played a game, and the graphics in-game seemed to be great. I sent the mobo back to the store and bought a second, better, one.
With the second mobo, the video card will not work at all, and the monitor will only flash on and off. I then bought a third motherboard, and now the monitor will work, but only for a few seconds and then the "power saving" will come on and the monitor will go to standby. Occasionally even the computer will shut off by itself, can anyone help me out? Sometimes the monitor will stay on for almost a minute, and others only for a few seconds. Only the default drivers are installed, and I haven't changed the jumper settings. I manged to get into the Bios and noticed that the graphics card was set on PCI, so I changed it to AGP, but still nothing works. I tried changing the voltage; but nothing. I tried a second monitor; same thing - both monitors were VGA. The refresh rate on my monitor is 59.something and I'm sure the video card is set to the same thing (60 as default?). I've tried unplugging the monitor and cpu, but nothing seems to work, please help me out! My ram, cpu, and graphics card all should be compatible with the mobo. This is now the fifth day it hasn't worked, any suggestions are appreciated!
