overclocking

hey my radeon 9600 pro will be shipped to me in a few days, I heard people talking about overclocking and how it makes the video card play better. can someone show me how to do this, thank you

I would recommend *not* overclocking your card. If you want better performance, buy a better card.

Overclocking can damage and destroy your card. I suggest it only to those with money to blow.

Overclocking will void the warranty, but it will rarely cause actual hardware damage. Most video cards simply freeze (crash) long before any damage can occur.

Memory overclocking is perfectly safe with current generation video cards, and core overclocking is usually safe with a decent amount of airflow in the case.
