Kids Vibrating Speakers... HELP!

Hi, I recently bought a pair of 100W Mission Wood cased speakers. I don't know much about speakers but i know they ain't supposed to sound like they do. On high bass the casing vibrates, the only thing that stops it is wedging folded card in between the wood and the speaker. Does anyone have any advice please?

Maybe removing the speaker and putting some sort of foam gasket.

It might be missing one to begin with.

Sounds suspect to me man...if a computer speaker does that straight out...I would return it.

I mean, unless it is an heirloom or of sentimental value...Creative Inspire 2500 is about $50 or something US dollars isn't it...they are very good speakers...and generally do not vibrate or distort on heavy bass...

Re:vibrating speakers.

Hi again. The foam gasket thing sounds like it could work - i've checket and there doesn't seem to be any foam surrounding the speaker at all. I'll look it up on the net, unless you have any advice on where an what type to get, any price guide would be a big help too. BTW they're not computer speakers, just standard bookshelf hifi speakers.
thanks.

I'd first remove the speaker itself. There should be some screws around the edge holding it in. Make sure it sits flat when you lay it face down on something that is flat. Check for bowed edges.

You'll probably have to hit a local audio store or someplace that sells/fixes speakers for the gasket material.

How big are the speakers? Diameter I mean.
