Computer randomly restarts

About a month ago, my computer just started to restart and eventually lead to shutting down. I realized my computers video cards fan was broken, so about a week ago i got the new fan and put it on. I began to use the computer and after about 1hr it restarted. I went into my BIOS for about a minute and it restarted again and then restarted about 5 seconds after that.

I did a virus scan and nothing came up.
I have all of the microsoft windows updates.
My OS is win2k

I went into my computers BIOS and looked at the CPU temp.
The tempature read 35 degree's C/95 degree's F.
The 95 degree's F rose to 100 degrees and at that point, i was unsure whether that was dangerous or not so I shut it down.

I'm wondering if anyone can tell me why my computer is restarting. Also, if it is my power-supply, is there any possibility i can rule it out?

Thanks

You should check your PSU's fan and make sure it's still turning. A good test to see if the PC's is overheating is to run it w/ the side(s) off. If it doesn't reboot, then it's safe to say there's not enough airflow. If it already has an intake and/or exhaust fan, make sure they're working. Since you've got the side(s) off, use a vacuum and carefully get the dust out.

If you don't have intake/exhaust fans, think about adding one or both.

You could be having a short somewhere, I once had a mouse that would shock my finger and then reboot.
