Clean the registry

Hello everybody
it is well known that when installing and unsinstalling programs ,some of them leave some stuff at the registry and most of the times slow down the pc.What can i do do to clean the registry of these ?is there any kind of software that helps ?

First link has cleaner bundled in the package.

Second is standalone.

Third is free.

Power Tools is supposed to be a good program.

Keep in mind that while these programs generally work well, they can also render your pc useless. Be sure and do a system restore point and or backup important info…

So, is it "regsupreme" or "regcleaner"?????

I've heard good things about "TweakNow's RegCleaner" (supposedly better/more intelligent than MS's REGClean) but the link for "regcleaner" does ***show*** regcleaner on the box, but the link says "regsupreme".

Anyway, gonna try regcleaner & see how she works since it's a freebie. I've not been one to clean the registry since I love to reformat & reinstall everything about once a year, but maybe I'll give it a try & see since XP installs are not as fun as the old 9x days!
