Do I have the Sasser worm?

I have AVG anti-virus and alerts popped up saying I had the Sasser worm and to run AVG for Windows scan. I got the Sasser Fix from Symantec, which I ran , but it said it couldn't find the worm on my computer. After that, I ran AVG scan and it found a sasser file and cleaned it. However, alerts continue to pop up saying I have the worm in certain files. But when I run the scan, it doesn't find anything anymore. Still, the alerts come up. Should I be worried? I need to use my laptop to take exams in the next couple weeks, so I can't have things messing up on me.

I haven't noticed any malfunctioning of anything, though, if that means anything.

I just did the Sasser check on the Microsoft website, which came up clean. I wonder what's up w/ the AVG alerts then...hmm

Maybe AVG had cleaned it for you if the deffinitions were up to date? You should be ok as long as you run a good firewall and get that patch from MS, the MS04-011 is the one to prevent you from being infected again. Also was it done in safe mode?
