If you had it set to boot from your CD-ROM, you probably need to go into the BIOS now and set it to boot from your HDD.

I replace a cd drive (52x) with a cdrw drive (52x 32x 52) the drive works ok, but whenever i eject the cd (or select the eject function, the computer go into a reboot mode, stating press any key to resume/restart windows..

what version of windows? what kind of writer is it? what motherboard are you using?
