GeforceFX5600 video problems

I recently went to a lan and when I got there I had major problems with my video. At this point, after trying many things I have managed to at least get the computer to run basic things like a browser. Here is my problem:

My GeforceFX5600 seems to not work properly on my computer anymore. At first I was getting random dots/lines and wierd boxes of color along with black screen flashes that last about a second. After this the computer would pretty much hang. I have tried multiple monitors, video cards and tried my video card on a different computer. Other video cards work(gf2 ti, gf4 4400ti) on my computer and my video card works on another persons computer. I have formatted and installed the latest VIA drivers, nvidia drivers, windows updates. I have tried under/over clocking my video card/RAM. Also tried different bios/mobo jumper settings to change voltages.

After the format it has gotten better so now i have only minor visable video glitches such as a few icons that are black and some residue that is leftover when i change screens. The MAIN PROBLEM NOW is the screen CONSTANTLY has black screen "refreshes" where it will go black for about .5-1second and then come back. Sometimes doing it multiple times. I am running at 60hz and have tried up to 120Hz and doesnt change really.

My specs are:

Athlon 2100+
ASUS A7V266-E mobo
ACEPOWER 350W power supply
1gig pc2100 ram
GFFX 5600 video card
WIN XP

Hope someone out there can help me
