Kids a new computer

hey im going to buy a computer from a friend the specs are the following:

intel 3 (not sure what ghz)
some nivida card
355 mb of ram (at least its what he thinks)
45 gb hard drive
and some motherbaord

He really doesnt know tha much about computers but i am goin to go over to his house to check it out. I told him id take it for 350$. Do you think i should take it im going to upgrade it when i get it i think its a me edition. thanx

Not for $350, I wouldn't take it for that price.
If it included some nice monitor and stuff, then perhaps yeah.
But for $350 you can get new cpu, gpu, ram, hd and mb that are modern.

That's just my opinion.

I especailly wouldn't take it if you don't know what cpu and video card you're getting. If they turn out to both be pretty good, it might be worth $350..otherwise, probably not. Your friend doesn't really sound like an enthusiast either, so chances are they aren't high end.

Probably not worth 350 IMO.

But as was said it depends on what comes with it.

If there's some good software included then that might sway you.

Download and run Belarc Advisor on the machine.

It will tell you everything about the system including software installed.

Belarc is small enough to fit on a floppy for installation if his computer isn't hooked up to the net.

Alright hes dad is a computer freak so chances are its a good one. ill try and get him to lower the price lata
