Kids all-in-one printers

what do you think of all-in-one printers? would you prefer to buy separate printer/scanner/copier?

below are some of the all-in-one printers... what do you think about these? please rate it in a scale of 1 to 10 ... 1 is the lowest and 10 is the highest

1.) Epson CX3100
2.) Canon MPC-190
3.) HP PSC 1210

I really like my Cannon F60 Multipass, easy to use and cheap ink cartridges.

HP usually has very pricey ink cartridges.

I have an HP AIO ... It's not bad, but if I were to go and buy one today it'd most definitely be an Epson.

Canon print heads are part of the device and not the ink cartridge. This means that the device will probably cost a couple of bucks more, but the ink cartridges are less ex*****ve because you're not replacing the print head all the time.

Canon has separate cartridges for each color. This makes refilling really easy.

I believe Epson is now using separate cartridges for all the colors as well. At least in thier photo printers.

I have a HP PSC1210. I previously had separate scanner and Canon BJC-210 (which died). I went to buy a new printer, the PSC 1210 was at a special price.

The cartridge cleaning mechanism is noisy. Also, the 56 and 57 HP cartridges are way too small.

Also, the software provided by HP is not as complete as the old PhotoDeluxe 2.0 provided by my previous scanner, so I continue using PD with my HP scanner.

Very practical and space saving.

I used to be a fan of seperate components but todays machines are much nicer than they used to be and you cant beat the space saving convenience or the price of an all-in-one.
