I need to know

Dear,users
thi is my 1st post in this site and i am just new in linux i got mandrak 10 ,i have some notes may some tell me about them
1- the source was on 3 cds and when i install i use only one cd(the 1st),So what r the rest cds for?
2-what is Consol mean?
3-i have display card (s3-vga-svage 4)although its driver is in the linux but it never work and i had to change it to another type(navadia32)?

1 - Not sure about for 10, but for Mandrake 9 the other discs were used to install various applications. If the discs were marked source, that means they contain the program's source code, which probably won't interest you much right now.

2 - Think of a Console as a DOS prompt. Only more superfied. Same thing goes for any 'terminal' programs like Xterm or Eterm.

1-The other cds are used for extras(ie server apps and office packages.
2.Consol is the command prompt for linux kinda like dos in windows.
