Logitech 680 and Santa Cruz

Hello,

I currently have the logitech z 540's and a Turtle beach santa cruz sound card. The speaksers just aren't cutting it anymore.

So I am looking into getting the logitech 680's. My question is, will this be a noticable difference.

Also would it be wasting the speakers to use my turtle beach santa cruz sound card with it? Would it be much better if I also upgraded my sound card?

Thanks

The speaker upgrade is a good thing.

You can't get much better than the TB Santa Cruz. That card is awsome.

Actually, you can get a lot better than the TBSC, but it's a killer card for the money.

My concerns are regarding your use. Will it be for games, or music? If you're looking for high-fidelity (I'm assuming you're not since you're getting the 680's), you can keep the card or upgrade to a Revo or something. If you're looking for a good gaming expirience, I'd reccommend upgrading to an Audigy 2-based card as their EAX support is much better. The TBSC beats them out for fidelity, though, believe it or not.

Yes you will notice a difference with the 680's.

As for your TBSC, I'd go with an Audigy 2 ZS, but avoid OEM cards. They can get wonky and I just wouldn't do it. You can get a ZS for $87 at ZipZoomFly:
