anything other than Ghost to clone HD's with?

Is there a program out there that is cheaper than Norton Ghost that will clone a HD as Ghost does? I need to copy a small 6GB HD to put on a new 40GB HD but I can't justify paying $70.00 for Norton Ghost. Esp since I don't go through HD's for long periods of time.

or a better deal --> Norton System Works Pro 2003 $15 which would come with a newer version of ghost.

Utilities like Maxblast have that capability under the "advanced" menu. Select "copy entire partition". Free from your hard drive manufacturers website. Also if you have Partition Magic it will do it too.

I would use partition magic....but I wouldnt trust "maxblast" or any other of those free ones for any data that I cared about....wayyyy toooo many horror stories on this forum about them. ghost is sooooo easy to use.

ok i ordered from there but when i hit next to confirm shipping addy and card number it went to 404 Error. But upon checking back on the site it now says

Order Status: Pending

What's up with that?

dunno..call em tommorrow and make sure all is ok...maybe it was just an internet connectivity thing or something.

They are a good company though...so just call em in the morning and doublecheck the status etc.

I have ordered from them before. (shame on me, I am way behind on leaving reseller rating feedback--I need to leave feedback for lots of companies)
