Unable to delete temporary internet files

When I click on Internet Options and then the Delete Temporary Internet Files button, IE freezes, stops responding, and I have to end task. Any idea why?

Welcome to TechIMO!!

Don't know why you can't.

Maybe if you are not the administrator you don't have permission to do so.

You could try:

Closing all instances of OE and IE > Control Panel > Internet Options > General tab >Click the "Delete Files" button.

What OS BTW?

You probably have so many that IE is frozen cause its busy processing your request. Try waiting it out for a while I am betting it will catch up.

Another way is to manually delete them. You can find them here

Assuming you have XP

C:\Documents and Settings\yourprofilefoldername\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files
