Welcome to the forum!

Well, if you haven't you might need to update drivers for your video card and run windows update. The thing I have a problem with about your system is that your video card does not compliment the other high end components in your system. Mabye you should upgrade to a ATI 9600XT or 9700 Pro.

also, you may want to check your system temps if this doesnt fix it (chance of your computer overheating)

On first startup screen (when you boot your computer) click delete (or whater button it is on your system to get into the BIOS usually it tells you on that screen) and in there it should have PC Health Status or something of that nature and there it should have temps.
Are you overclocking? Or do you just not have any fans?
