Ad-aware Help

Ok I am having a weird problem. Whenever I run adaware it shuts down after like 30,000 items scanned. It is still running though and I can hear the bug noise or whatever when it is done. Tried reinstalling and it didn't work. It minimizes so that when I click on it in the taskbar nothing happens... it like shows it opening (like the top of it that says ad-aware) but that's it. Only options when I right-click are minimize and close.

Have you tried maybe running Spybot-Search&Destroy first?

nope got to 35,000 and just disappeared. Still in task bar though and when it finishes there is still the bug sound.

yeah try spybot first i agree or just run adaware in safe mode for the first time

Yah I ran spybot, that is what I am saying nope to - it didn't work trying it first

What system are you running FAT32 or NTFS? Maybe you are running into some bad sectors of your hard drive or some corrupt files.

I would do a defrag and a chkdsk first and then try it again.

yeah that happend to me i had to uninstall it and reinstall it and it worked fine mabey you need to uninstall it first
