I've heard of this problem, and I believe it has to to with corrupted files being shared on purpose. Never had the prob though.

Other file sharing progs people use include WinMX, Morpheus, Bearshare, and File Donkey, among others.

This is a very common problem. About 8 out of 10 MP3's are corrupted for me.

I have now moved on to WinMX and think it is excelent, downloads may not be as fast but there is lots of very high quality files that you cannot find on Kazaa.

Morpheus is a dreadful P2P service, avoid at all costs!

I've never had that problem, though I don't use it as much as I used to and I don't download popular crap. I've moved on to eMule. It's corruption free in every aspect and some say that it's impossible to corrupt (at least on the scale that Kazaa has gotten to).

It only gets complicated when you're behind a router. Then you have to forward the ports to your computer and what not. Besides that, it's pretty simple.

It's not as fast as Kazaa, but no where near the amount of corruption. Plus, you can download complete albums and discographies!

EDIT: Which reminds me, it's not the best for single songs except for the more popular ones. Definitely good for albums and discographies though.
