MS Word sucks.

I've had 3 different version of MS Office. 95, 97, 2002.
Over those 7 years, MS has STILL not fixed the problem where a boarder cannot be placed at the bottom of a page. That's such BS; for a product that costs $500 retail (much cheaper for students), I would expect a lot more.

I can do page boarders in Word 2003.

File > Page Setup > Layout (Tab) > Boarders

then just choose the boarder you want.

I can do that with Word 2003, which is what I use right now.
I do agree though this should have been available to earlier versions of Word, since this product from Microsoft is not cheap.

Hummmm.......... I wonder why Microsoft would include that feature in Word 2000, but take it out for the 2002 version and then put it back in 2003? Doesn't make sense, does it? ; )

Of course, the are alternatives.

To MS Word, that is. I suppose there are alternatives to borders, too (and to boarders).

This option is in Word 2002:

File > Page Setup > Layout (Tab) > Boarders

Steve, I went to where you said (which is different from what I usually do), I selected the boarder for all 4 sides, and it looks the same - No boarder on the bottom.

Try changing the View to Print Layout and or adjusting your bottom margin up a bit.

I don't have Word XP, but I found this explanation.

1. Open a new document in Word. Pull down the Format menu and choose Borders and Shading.
2. Click the Page Borders tab. Select the type of border, style, border color and border width. Click OK to create the border.
