Turn on PSU without a MOBO

Ok I am trying to get my case up and running to check all my fans, lights, etc. I do not have my Mobo installed so how in the heck do I turn on the PSU. I flip the switch in the back and nothing happens. I searched google and came up with nothing . So can anyone tell me how to get the darn thing on, cause I really don't want to have to install the Mobo just to get the blasted thing to power up.

even if the mobo isnt in the case, you can connect the powersupply and then short the power connector on the mobo

it works if you have the mobo, and you can short the power switch with a screw driver

Right now it's in another computer. I am working on a new case (modding and all that) so I have never even put a Mobo in it. I just want to trip the PSU on so that I can make sure everything is working right in that case.

Look here

I've always heard that you want to have some type of load on the p/s when you start it up. Either a case fan or a hard drive.

real easy to do actually... just take a paper-clip and bend it into a U shape ...insert one end into the power cable where the green wire goes...and the other to any of the black wire spots...
