Painting the inside of my case.

Ok, I should be getting my new case in a day or so and I would like to paint the inside of it Black and Green (A green that will look decent with Green UV and LED's - But not UV Green Spraypaint). Since the inside of the case is bare metal what grit sandpaper should I use on it to obtain a nice shinny finish. My whole theme is going to be Black/Green/Green UV/and blacklights. I am going to use the vinyl dye on the drives if they have green as well.

Maybe use a nice 400 grit sandpaper or maybe even lower depending on how rough or porus (i think i spelled that right) the sheet metal is.

Good Luck!

remember, the real purpose of sanding is to rough to surface up for better paint adhesion. After you get the base coat on, use ultra fine sand paper and spray again to get the slick look.

Newegg sent me another case for the one they damaged in shipping last time for free . The old case just had a small crack in it so now I have 3 good cases . I am going to paint the Chieftec some kind of blue metal flake or something like that (this ones for me ) One of the raidmax cases I might paint purple or something for my wife. Any ideas on the third one? (what color should I paint it or should I just go crazy with it?

Right now I'm painting my wifes comp (case, dvd-rom,etc) I'm using an anodized aluluminum paint. It's called Metalcast. Do I need to put a clearcoat on when I'm done?

i leave clearcoats off the drives. For me, they have a tendency of getting nicked so often they need to be repainted and the clearcoat would get in the way. Up to you.
