Wireless Internet not working

I have a cable connection over at my barn (which is my dad's office) and over at his barn he has a network which consists his computer, a server, and my Linksys Wireless-B router which I use to send the connection to my room. Now my connection is great and it has always been dependable.

Now, since he has a server on the network my router connection keeps stalling (making me unplug and replug my Linksys USB wireless card over and over again). This gets anoying when I have to do it every five minutes. I have zonealarm on my system and I have scanned for spyware and viruses and nothing has come up (I frequently update virus and spymare definitions).

Can anyone explain why this is happening?
Thanks

Make sure your Dad's server is not acting as a DHCP server. If it is, your PC may be getting mixed messages about what its IP Address should be. The router says one thing, the server says another, etc..

couldn't you just turn off DHCP on the router then assign a static IP to your personal machine. How many machines get fed from the router? If it is just one - then you just have to use static on your machine. That's what I would try. I would think it would be the easiest fix.
