2 disk multibooting twist
Is it possible to set-up dual booting without re-installing operating systems (i.e. Win98 and WinXP Pro)? Situation is that I had old disk (8 GB) that contained Win98 obtained from Win95 initial installation from CD, upgraded to Win98 via CAB files downloaded along with Service Releases that were downloaded but no longer available. This 8 GB disk was backed-up as a mirrored file and upgraded to WinXP Professional. Once WinXP Professional had all settings adjusted, it was mirrored and a new 40 GB disk was obtained and Win XP Professional loaded onto it with it becoming the primary disk. The older disk was connected as a secondary disk and became a logical disk identified as "F". Thus, I have 2 Hard Disks on my system, one "C" with Win XP Pro and a bunch of programs and the other "F" with Win 98 and a bunch of programs (40-50).
The process to re-install operating systems and programs would be monumental based upon the requirements of beginning with an original system, installing upgrades that are only in CAB form along with service pacs, trying to address unavailable downloads, etc. So, is there a way to take the 2 logical drives complete with operating systems and programs and set them up in a dual booting mode that would work?
