HI,
Cany one tell me what is the latest dvd writer speed, is it still 8x??? If yes, when would be the next higher speed available? and it is goign to be 12x??

Right now, the top writing DVD speed is 8x.
Next will probably be 10x, and 12x will soon follow.

Not sure where to find them though

at best buy they have an estimated arrival time...June 04.

you can pre order them now though http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....1&type=product

seems they will be 12x speed on DVD+R and only 8x on DVD-R


and of course they will be high priced for a while...then they will come down like everything always does
