...compaqs, hps, gateways, etc

What do you HATE the most about them?

The obvious is the fact that it IS a compaq, HP, etc. But My main hate is the unexpected lockup during ANYTHING!
Currently own an older compaq "pos" presario. First off it had a 145W PSU!! How do they expect you to add stuff to it? We cant forget the compaq certified RAM...which compaqs "prefer" or else you freeze while trying to LOG IN or when you want to play a cd or when...the list goes on. If i had another mobo and cpu i would have no problems DESTROYING the ones on my compaq...that will be the happiest day of my life.

Anyone else feel like venting?

I usually just recommend a mobo/cpu/mem upgrade rather then spend too much effort trying to get a Compaq running right. They are small, tight, and have crappy power supplies (IMAO).

I dont like stuff that is proprietary..(non standard stuff)

Also I dont like all the extra junk software that HP and Compaq and Dell put on their comps.
