I got A+ last year, and took a Network+ class which ended last week, and tomorrow morning I do the certification.
Anyone have any good suggestions for practice tests or pointers/etc?
I searched the forum, and found a few topics, but they were rather old, and I thought I might as well start another.
I think I did alright in the class, and if I pass the certification, I'll most likely be able to officially enroll in the college for credit (I'm only 14, and since I don't have a GED, I had to just sit in on the A+, Principles of Computing, and Net+ classes without getting credit).
The class was based around the Network+ textbook/study guide by Tamara Dean, which in my opinion was inferior to the A+ book in a few ways, but it is complete. It has practice tests, a full explanation of the objectives and a page dedicated to each one, and it came bundled with a few CDs with practice exams, but one of them is nothing like CompTIA's certification, and the other is, but it only has 50 questions in the database...
Anyway, any suggestions about what I need to short-term memorize? I have about 2 1/2 hrs before I leave, and then I'll get home just in time for bed, so I have time to cram some tables of port numbers, segment lengths and protocols, and whatever else I might need.
Wish me luck
