Possible New System??

i currently have the following:-

Athlon 1.3Ghz
512mb DDR PC2100 RAM
G-Force 4 4200i 128mb
60GB Hard Drive
Windows ME

Thats the main info. I am thinking of buying a new system...

Athlon XP 3.0Ghz
Raedon 9600
1Gb DDR 3200 RAM
Windows XP
120 GB Hard Drive

Does this sound like a reasonable upgrade. I think my main issue is the Graphics Card, is the Raedon 9600 better than the 4200i.

Or should I add a better graphics card.

Thanks

the 9600 is better, although i like the ti4200's also, but i would preferably get the 9600 Pro. What kinda MB are you going to put in? Preferably get a nForce2 chipset and one to handle the 3.0 cpu. and your ram... MSI is pretty good, also heard Asus is up there as well.

Sorry, the Graphics card would be a Raedon 9800. Is this worth upgrading for ?

yep 9800 will be a lot better than your TI4200, for motherboards Asus, MSI, Gigabyte and Abit are good brands...

altought Asus its a little picky when comes to the ram used.
