HP57 ink cartridge refilling question

For those of you that are tight wads like me that refuse to pay $29 for a new cartridge every couple weeks....

My situation is that after a few refills of the HP57 the red and always the red ends up not feeding well or at all. Anyone else had this problem. I've refilled the the black (HP56) for months now. But for some reason the red on the tri-color ends up failing first.

Any suggestions?

Dave

I can't help you, since I haven't tried refilling these yet, but here's my comment : those 56 and 57 cartridges are way too small ! A damn good way to make profits for HP !

Yeah they may as well give the printers away. I've finally given up on printing photos at home. It's cheaper to take them to Wal-mart or Costco on a disc.
