For general information. What is everyones favorite utility programs they take with them on a computer service call.

For example; speed up programs, cleaning programs, general troubleshooting and the like.

My favorite programs have changed over the years. Many becoming victims of progress. I like many of the features that come with XP Pro, some of which replaced programs I used in Windows 98 and 98SE. I would have to say that my current favorite programs are "Spybot" and "Adaware".

Spybot, Adaware, Norton Utilities. most problems seem related to spyware/virus; or they fritzed the CD drive using it as a coffee cup holder

EDIT: memtest86 and a dualboot Linux/windows hd in case their system is really out of whack.

RayH, I will second that opinion!

I recommend adding Microsoft's RegClean and possibly a good thrid-party registry editor/cleaner to your list of tech support software.
