boot problem windows XP Pro

When I try to boot into winXP my computer says "NTLDR is missing" and tells me to press ctrl alt del to restart. I know I read about this somewhere before, but I cant remember what I need to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Hopefully the result isnt reformatting
