need advice help

hey all, I have to design a webpage for class so I'm doing one for my daughters pics, unfortunately i'm less than 1/4 done and I only have about a week left, given that I'm new to dreamweaver and photoshop it's taking me for ever, any pointers or tips that could speed me up a bit, but still try to look like I spent time on it (for the grade), l'd appreciate any tricks you all have, concerning either program...

I'd say just use Photoshop to design a nifty looking web page and be done with it. Shouldn't take ya more than evening.

Make some small versions of the pics you want to display for use as thumbnails. Then design a page layout using those thumbnails. Use Photoshop's Slice Tool to define where the links are (the thumbnails) that will take the viewer to the full size images. Photoshop will automatically slice up all the undefined space for you. Then use the Save For Web feature to output it all to images and an HTML document that will use a table to put all the images together like puzzle pieces and make your web page. Couldn't be easier.

The Simon the Cat page that you've seen before was done like this. Took me maybe an hour. And of course it doesn't have to be as goofy as my page is, you could easily use the same technique to do something more sophisticated.

thanks OUT, i'll play around with the slice feature/save for the web and see where it takes me, since I'm doing most of the designing in photoshop anyway this should definately give me a boost. I got 30 printmaking prints I gotta whip out as well, needless to say time is of the essence

edit: that option is out, my prof says files have to be in dreamweaver when transferred to his comp.
