Mandrake 10 won't boot

Hello,

I recently installed Mandrake 10 Community onto my spare 30Gb slave hard drive. It runs into LILO fine, and runs through all the initializations. FInally when it's time to go into the OS, I get a blank screen on all of my monitors, and my LCD's little built in OS thing give me a message that it cannot work at the mode (85Hz). The weird part is, it has booted twice, out of like 20 tries. Once every so often, it will boot, and display on my center monitor (the lcd that usually tells me it cant run at that mode) and also my left crt, on the pci card. Here are my specs:

ATI Radeon 9800 Pro (One LCD and One CRT)
S3 ViRGE PCI Video Card
1GB PC4000 Kintson HyperX
120GB WD 7200rpm (XP Pro)
30GB Maxtor 5400 rpm (Mandrake 10)
500w psu

Any ideas?

Well, it is possible you have X configured to run out of spec with your monitor.

You can boot to console and run xf86config and change that.
