SharePoint 2001 and CAL's

Am I right in assuming that if you have more users log on then you have CAL's for the user will not be granted access to the server and thus not exceed the license limit?

Are you using SharePoint Team Services, or the SharePoint Server? I've been using Team Services at work, and have never run into an issue with CALs being exceeded by the number of concurrent users.

My guess is that if you have more than 20 concurrent sessions, the 21st person will be denied access. Having said this, it's only an educated guess... I am not in the same situation. I have run out of CALs with too many concurrent user sessions on plain, old W2K Server. Next person in queue had to wait untl an existing session closed out.
