Which ATI card do I have?

Fellow Members:

I'm trying to get drivers for an AGP (Rage) ATI graphics card.

I've run the serial and PN (part number) in Search at the ATI site, but other than verifying that it's an authentic ATI card, I cannot figure out which model it is . . .

Any ideas? The card has "AMC" (ver. 2.0) PN 109-52800-01 (1998) to the left of the ATI logo, Rage 11C AGP on the large square chip with 4 memory mods.

Thx.

Brangwen

What OS are you running, so we can link you to the correct driver?

I think "Rage 11C AGP" is the model of your card.

From what I can find on ATi's site, it looks like it's a Rage Pro.

Quote:
The XPERT 2000 board will also be featured in the AcerPower 4400 systems, with other 4400 models featuring ATI's XPERT 99 and RAGE 11C chip-based 3D Charger boards. ATI's XPERT 99, RAGE PRO chip-based XPERT 98 boards and 3D Charger boards will be featured in the AcerPower S Series systems for small business use and the XPERT 99 board was selected by Acer for the Aspire® 6400 series.
I dunno, maybe not.

But all the Rage chipsets are generally the same.

Sure its not powered by instead of bulit by ati (BBA)? Cause
http://www.ati.com/support/identify/cardver.html

"All products that are BUILT BY ATI include a "102 part number". The part number for an ATI product will generally appear on a white sticker on the front or back of the product. Look for a long series of digits beginning with "102".

NOTE: Some third party manufacturers may also list what appears to be a 102 number, but there ARE differences:

Example:

1025670300515159 would verify a product BUILT BY ATI. Note that BUILT BY ATI products do NOT include alpha-numeric 102 Part Numbers.
1025-B4030-123-SA would verify a product POWERED BY ATI.
ATI Customer Care keeps a list of 102 Part Numbers for various BUILT BY ATI products ONLY. Please see the "102 Part Number Lookup".

Can you see the bios # at boot up? If so hit the pause screen key on keyboard when it shows to halt boot process and writ eit down. Then go here

http://apps.ati.com/102lookup/index.asp

haha, here ya go found it.

"8mb AGP 3D Charger 37.29 ATI
109-52800-01-ATI"

http://216.239.41.104/search?q=cache...2800-01+&hl=en

Other info by ati on it at release-good for history, hehe.
http://www.ati.com/companyinfo/press/1998/4089.html

now fer the drivers needed.................

"The low cost RAGE IIC AGP board incorporates all the features of the 3D RAGE II+ accelerator chip and includes optimizations which result in even more impressive 2D and 3D performance.

It will enable OEMs a rapid transition route to 3D- and AGP-enabled business PCs and is ideal for such new and emerging business applications as data visualization, network mapping (3D models of networks for network management), Web browsing, video conferencing, presentations and 3D user interfaces.

The RAGE IIC AGP board delivers fast 2D performance, with an integrated 200 MHz DAC which supports up to 1600x1200 resolution and up to 100 Hz refresh at SVGA resolution. "

Its the rage IIc gpu. SO get drivers for that. I have a 8mb sdram of that around here too. With that gpu I mean diff card.

Now nothing older then ragepro gets updated software today. The quick driver finder at ati wont list it therefore. So this driver will be in the archives under discontinued products....

http://www.ati.com/products/rageiic/...ger/index.html

AND here after all that is the direct link to the exact driver ya need. Good deed for the day.
