Need a card that will work in a Shuttle with the VIA KM400 chipset

I have a Shuttle SK43G, which uses the VIA KM400 chipset. Last week I ordered an ASUS Radeon 9600xt. After it arrived I found out about some instability problems that the card has when coupled with the KM400 chipset. I tried it anyway and yep, it's unstable when playing most games.

I'd like to switch over to an nvidia card but the problem is that most of them are longer than the ATI cards, and many don't fit in the small Shuttle case.

Also, someone told me that my problems may be related to my PSU. It's only 200W, but because everything on the Shuttle is onboard I don't need as big of a PSU as I would for a larger computer. If this isn't the case and my PSU really is a problem, I'll need a card that will work with this PSU.

So basically, I need a card that meets the following specs:

1. Fits in a Shuttle case (lengthwise). [my biggest concern]
2. Doesn't overpower the Shuttle 200W PSU.
3. Doesn't throw fits when working with the VIA KM400 chipset.
4. Costs between $150-180, approximately. Cost is least important because I know my options are limited.

My current setup is:

Shuttle SK43G w/ VIA KM400 chipset
AMD AthlonXP 2500+ Barton
Seagate 80gb 7200rpm HD
Corsair 512mb XMS-series PC2700 DDR
ASUS Radeon 9600xt

I found this page, which lists some "compatible" cards for my SK43G. Not surprisingly, the 9600xt isn't listed. These cards all seem to be older models though.

I noticed that the Geforce FX5600 Ultra is supported. According to Tom's Hardware VGA charts, it's quite a ways down from my current 9600xt. However, I read on Tom's Hardware that the FX5700 Ultra was designed to replace the FX5600 and is almost identical in terms of construction. It scores a lot higher on the VGA charts as well.

So my question is, if the FX5600 Ultra is listed as compatible with my system, is there a good chance that a FX5700 Ultra will work also? Would there be a huge increase in power consumption between the two models?

Edit: I just looked at a picture of the FX5700 Ultra and it looks to be one of the longer cards I was worried about. Are my eyes just playing tricks on me or is this card too long to fit in the Shuttle?
