Why the numbers?
I just went into my add remove programs to remove some programs and i noticed i have numbers next to programs.......i.e

Outlook Express Q837009

Internet Explorer Q832894

Windows 98 Q823559 Update

That's the only 3 but why the Q and numbers??

Those are the updates for any MS products you have on your system. I believe that the Qxxxxxx refers to the actual problem(s) that the update supposedly fixed.

Send a message via AIM to lost-and-found
exactly, if you go to their knowledge base, for example, and type in that Q and xxxxxxxxxxx for numbers you will see what the update has fixed.
