DKVM-4K - 4-Port KVM Switch

I'm looking into 4 port KVM's and I found this one by D-Link.

DKVM-4K - 4-Port KVM Switch

Any comments on this particular KVM?
Any better ideas dealing with other manufactures and like product?

Normally I work on 2 computers a weekend and I hate having to rip out the cables on my second computer to hook up the customer(s) towers.

Cheers!

I've got this one from newegg. Bought it a couple months ago and I couldn't be happier with it. I should have bought one years ago.
Highly recommended.

Only comment on the one you're looking at is it seems expensive.
Here is the same one you're looking at for 1/2 the price.

Thanks for the reply elroy.

I just ordered the D-Link right from the D-Link site for $94.00 ca

The tigerdirect.ca link is in Canadian dollars. That's why you saw such a price difference when comparing to newegg. If I bought from newegg I would be hit with duty, federal tax, our own PST and GST and shipping.

Buying from D-Link Canada I will be hit with only shipping and GST. It works out to be about the same. RMA's are less of headache when purchased originally in your own country. When ever possible I will shop Canadian unless the price is a lot better somewhere else in the world.

I'm a brand name shopper too!

Cheers!

Alright I didn't notice it was Canadian. I couldn't imagine they were charging that much for a KVM. As I said above you will be so happy with it. I must have unhooked my computers a thousand times so I could use a different one. Not anymore!

Beemer,
I have a Linksys SVIEW04 v.2 . It's a full size 4 station job, with lights and buttons.

I had a wireless Logitech mouse and kb hooked up to it with no problems, (maybe a year) until a couple of weeks ago. The kb kept dropping out so I hooked up a corded one.
Then I bought a wireless Kensington mouse, I really liked the rubber grips on it, and it fit my hand great. I thought it was defective, it wouldn't work through the kvm. Turns out their website says it's not supported or recommended through the switch. I returned it, I didn't care for it, even hooked up directly.

I went to Logitech's site. <sigh> They don't recommended their wireless stuff though a kvm either. But the mouse still works great so I'll keep it hooked up.

It's sounds like I'm glad I picked the D-Link then. (I hope)
I'll be running an original Logitech cordless mouse on this KVM.

Cheers!
