Laptop Power supply

Hi,

I've got a laptop power supply, which has its own little fan, and lately it's gotten a little louder. It usually runs at a normal noise level then gets slightly louder, and runs there for about 10 seconds and goes back to a relatively normal sound level. (as I type this it has gone up and down 3 times.)

Now, is my supply crapping out on me? I've tried blowing out the dust manually, and I plan to get some canned air later, and it seemed to help a little bit. But I'd hate to purchase a whole new supply when there's an easier solution.

And there's no screws on the supply...besides, I don't feel like get zapped any time soon.

Ok, well, my supply fan just died. So, I'm using my laptop cooling pad to keep it cool.

I plan on buying a new one in the very near future (unless it's still under warranty, please, let it still be under warranty).

Does any one have any tips on keeping the powersupply/fan in good working order?
