How is Star Wars: Galaxies now?

See this is my situation. I'm gonna get into an MMORPG this summer as I did last summer, last summer was Planetside and overall I was pleased because I got addicted even though it was shoddy the fun factor was great. I just wanna know opinions. See I could buy Lineage 2/City of Heros on Monday but that means its gonna take that 50 bucks away from some other game like Joint Operations or Soldner when I already own SWG and they've seemed to make alot of strides, only thing that sucks is with all this new **** that means I'll be reading and taking atleast a day or two for the learning curve. Anyway opinions? They just announced their space expansion which looks tight

I play SWG fairly regularly on farstar, its boring for the first 3-4days but when u get into it and start being able to kill stuff with one hit kills is when it starts getting fun. I am earning approximatly 100k plus a day so for me its pretty fun

City of heros is absolutely a blast to play...I have played both (coh in beta) and would suggest that one by far. If you want to know why swing on over to the city of hero forums.

I too have played the beta and its awesome but then again SWG has alot of people playing and support behind it and I can't think of any other MMO game 2 date that has added so much stuff within 1 year of its release. City of Heros is fun but SWG also has so much content they need guides for every little thing.

Eh....not sure CoH will have more people playing it than Star Wars: Galaxies. Also Galaxies has announced an expansion pack that really just adds a whole new dimension.

CoH just anounced an expansion pack also...its called city of villians and will have pvp.

As for the numbers, I of course can only speculate about what CoH will do, so we will see.

Well I think they shoulda added villians in a patch, its not enough to make an expansion pack over it especially when the game hasn't even been released.

I could just as easily say that SWG should have shipped with the ability to have space flight......since that is what SW is....or it should be a free patch instead of selling an expansion for it.. In fact, thats what a lot of people say. I find SWG now to be EQ with a star wars skin.

All I know is that after playing both I found SWG (still) to be riddled with bugs. Macro'rs live in full force in the SWG world and thats probably the biggest reason I won't be going back. If you can gain skill while being afk well......I am staying far away.

CoH had less bugs in beta and the combat is much more fun and faster paced. It also has less content.......but the content that is there works...so its a double edged sword.

That being said if you are a hardcore MMO'r than SWG is probably more for you as there are a lot more timesinks in the game.....uber loot, nerfed crafting,ect. I dont think the hardcore will like CoH as much....basically because playing 10 hours a day will gain you nothing over the casual gamer but levels.
