Gaming New toy gone berserk?

OK, my fan is getting really annoying lately. Not only has it decided to emit a nice hum (I use open headphones), but it makes rattling sounds occasionally due to the fact that the thing vibrates so much. So, I bought myself a couple components. I got an Enermax UC-A3FATR2, which is a nice little thermal monitor which I am using right now to monitor my CPU and ti4200 temps. Other than its irritating beeping feature, it works fine. I also got myself a Panaflow H1A (92mm of course) to replace the Datech 12HBTL stock fan in there right now.

The old fan is mounted to the black housing that attaches to the case via rubber isolation rivets. I found some here:

http://www.directron.com/fanfasteners.html

Does anyone know where else I can obtain these things? That site sells them for $5.00, and they charge over $5.00 for shipping! I am assuming the old rubber thingies will be destroyes when I take the old fan off, so I need to obtain another set of these. Ideas?

My main concern is with the Dell mobo itself. Will it be able to accept the fact that I have disconnected its fan? I will be plugging the Panaflow into the Enermax itself (via a 3-pin Molex), so nothing will be connected to the mobo. The Mobo will then assume the fan has failed, correct? Will this be a problem, and can I fool the motherboard in some way?

Thanks for any help.

it is within the useless in which we find the truely useful.

the only thing i can think of is finding some old fans... i will check around though

about the mobo.... chances are it will not boot or not run right becase of the lack of fanage. i would suggest just plugging it into the mobo... is there any reason that you are not planing on just plugging it in there?

Dell mobos are a pain in the buttocks to mod yourself, and as such, they use a different 3-pin connector. The Panaflow uses a 3-pin Molex like everyone else out there. I'm connecting that to the Enermax.
